For many, It’s the best football-related movie. Escape to Victory- a Hungarian film directed by John Huston and starring Michael Caine, Bobby Moore, Pelé and so many other stars. The movie focuses on a group of Allied prisoners coached by English Captain John Colby, the team agree to play an exhibition football match against a German team during the Second World War.

The prisoners take the match as an opportunity to escape during the game. After half-time, trailing by 4-1, they turned back to change the decision and continued the match. then fight back to ensure the match is a draw.
The Arsenal Stadium Mystery (1939)
According to the plot, The Arsenal Stadium Mystery is one of the best movies about football. The movie is based on a murder mystery directed by Thorold Dickinson, starring Leslie Banks, Greta Gynt and others. The movie follows the story of a friendly match Arsenal versus Trojan- a fictitious amateur team.
During the match, a Trojan player collapses on the ground and later he breathes for the last time. The story can end here, but it turns into a mystery that the player was poisoned.
