The Champions League final is back at Wembley Stadium after 11 years. Borussia Dortmund confirmed their attendance at the Championship League final after 11 years too, which will be held in Wembley Stadium on June 1. So it’s an 11-year story from both sides.
Borussia Dortmund repeated their first-leg performance in Parc des Princes. They beat again France’s side PSG by a 1-0 margin, while Matt Hummels showed his masterclass in both defense and attacking line.
Dortmund Legend, Matt Hummels header sends Borussia Dortmund to the Wembley Stadium final. He was also solid in the defensive line while tackling Kylian Mbappe many times.
The visitors have not big names like Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Jude Bellingham but they are on the way to conquering the European final peak. They have Niklas Füllkrug, Matt Hummles, Emre Can, Julian Brandt and a solid defensive line that gives them massive hope of winning the second Champions League title.
PSG remained unfortunate in both legs of the Semi-final. They should have scored in Signal Iduna Park and Parc des Princes as well but many of their shots hit the crossbar or post that turned in vain. For about 180 minutes, PSG didn’t score to the net, shots hit the crossbar or post on six separate occasions but nothing found the net, that’s why they are out of the Champions League.
