Chelsea has signed Brazilian wonder kid Estevao Willian, whose nickname is ‘Messinho’, who is currently playing for Palmeiras as a winger.
The Blues reached an agreement with Estevao at €45m fixed fee plus €25 easy add-ons. The agreement will be valid until June 2032 and he will join Stamford Bridge in 2025 as he is now just 17 years old.
The 17-year-old is set to be the fourth Brazilian youngster to join Chelsea since the change of ownership of the club.
Chelsea considered Estevao to be a similar talent to Endrick, who has been signed by Real Madrid. Estevan scored 3 goals in 17 appearances for Palmeiras.
The Blues believe they signed the generational talent and are not planning to loan him to another club even though there is no plan to send him to the Academy. He will be with the main team from 2025.
The youngster already has a huge reputation in Brazil for his excellent magic with the ball. Describing Estevao, The head of Palmeiras’ youth setup, Joao Paulo Sampaio, said “The controls he makes are incredible and his speed with the ball is amazing.”
