Young Tigers returned home after winning back to back U19 Asia Cup for the second time. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) welcomed the champions with flowers and cake at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Last Sunday, the Bangladesh team successfully secured their title by defeating India in the final of the Youth Asia Cup. In the meantime, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced a prize of 5 million BDt for the champion team.
BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury was present at the airport to welcome the champion team of Bangladesh last night. Besides, among other board directors were Akram Khan, Fahim Sinha, Iftekhar Rahman and Nazmul Abedin Fahim.

Azizul Hakeem Tamim’s team defeated India by 59 runs in the final of the tournament. With a great performance, they stopped India, the maximum 8-time champion of the Youth Asia Cup.
Before this, the youngsters of Bangladesh became champions for the first time after defeating the United Arab Emirates in the U-19 Asia Cup in last year. This time, the young tigers showed their strength by defeating the most successful team in the tournament.
