India failed to win the title despite reaching the finals of two consecutive Test Championships. This time too, Rohit-Kohli tried hard. The two-time runners-up were progressing well throughout the entire Test cycle.

Team India came out to bat with a slight lead in the second innings. Where they could only score 157 runs. Australia get target of 162 runs, and won with 6 wickets.
