Bangladesh U-19 team won Youth Asia Cup 2024

For the second time in a row, the youth of Bangladesh have won the U-19 Asia Cup. The team led by Azizul Hakeem Tamim returned to the country after securing the title last night. Tamim faced the media after landing at the airport.

Azizul Tamim told about his new goal after returning home. Where he said this time the goal of the Tigers is to win the world. So he said to prepare himself once again. He also spoke about some good memories of the Youth Asia Cup.

The newly crowned captain said to reporters, ‘The biggest test for us is the upcoming World Cup (U-19). We are preparing ourselves and aiming to do something better.’

Tamim dedicated the Asia Cup trophy to the country, ‘This trophy is not only for us but for the whole country. Seeing the support of expatriate visitors in the field, it seems that we are not only playing, but shining the name of the country.’

After that, Tamim mentioned an incident that happened in the final of the Asia Cup. Where Bangladesh fans chanted ‘Allahu Akbar’ from the gallery during the match against India. He said that he enjoyed the matter.

He said, ‘When Allahu Akbar was heard from the gallery, it made me very proud as a Muslim. We enjoyed the game even more because of those who were on the field since morning to support us.’

This captain, who won the Youth Asia Cup, proved himself brilliantly in this tournament. He scored the second highest 240 runs of the tournament with a century and a half-century. And by this, Azizul Hakeem Tamim has given his arrival message in Bangladesh cricket.
