Many prominent cricketing figures get married to women who belong to relatives and even in different cultures, ages and religions.

Shahid Afridi and Nadia Afridi

Afridi tied the knot with his maternal cousin, Nadia Afridi. The couple has been together for about 19 years and they have been blessed with four daughters named, Aqsa, Ansha, Ajwa and Asmara. Later, In a continuation of family ties, Ansha married one of the finest Fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi in 2023.

Another Pakistani Cricketer created the headline for choosing to marry his cousin. It is Saeed Anwar who is reckoned one of the finest openers Pakistan has ever produced. In 2012, he got married to his cousin Sharmin Samira at the young age of 16.
