Italy announced a 30-man squad for Euro 2024, which will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14. The defending Champion won it in 2021 when they faced England at Wembley.
Gianluca Scamacca has secured his name into the squad for his outstanding performance for Atalanta this season. He scored 11 goals in all competitions and helped Atalanta from the front to win the historical Europa League on Wednesday.
Italian Manager Luciano Spalletti also picked Nicolò Fagioli, who played for Juventas. Fagioli is one of several younger players who have replaced the old guard from the last Euro victory over England.
Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali has lost his place as he is involved in a betting scandal. Inconsistent winger Ciro Immobile is not also considered for the Euro mission.
