Wanindu Hasaranga, a Srilankan leg-spinner is back to lead Sri Lanka at the T20 World Cup, which will be held in the USA and West Indies from June. Angelo Mathews, who will play six consecutive T20 World Cups has been called for the T20 squad.
Dushmantha Chameera, Pathum Nissanka, Dhananjaya De Silva and Dunith Wellalage, a young star who is still waiting for his T20 debut, have been included in Sri Lanka’s 15-player squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
The spin attack of Sri Lanka is terrible to think about. They have three quality spinners, named Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Dunith Wellalage and Charith Asalanka, Dhananjaya De Silva, who can spin the ball as part-timer, have been included in the squad.
The Pace department is also looking solid.
Dusmanth Chameera will lead the pace attack which has other talented pacers like Matheesha Pathirana, Nuwan Thusara and Dilshan Madhushanka. The pace attack will also be helped by Angelo Mathews and Dasun Shanaka.
