Kagiso Rabada leaves IPL due to Injury

Kagiso Rabada, a South African veteran pacer, who plays for Punjab Kings leaves IPL due to an infection in the soft tissue of a lower limb injury, but he is expected to be available for the T20 World Cup, which will be held in the USA and West Indies in June.

The South African medical team are closely monitoring him and they ensure he will return to national duty before starting the tournament.

Canada, who plays for Punjab Kings, has picked 11 wickets in 11 matches at a rate of 8.85 economy. After suffering an injury, he will surely miss the next two games of the Punjab Kings, against Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Punjab Kings is not in a good position this season. They are the lowest team in the point table so far, winning just 4 matches in 12 matches.

However, Rabada’s inclusion is important in the South African 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup because he is the only black player among them. throughout a season, six players of colour in every XI, where at least two must be black African. So Rabada is the only one whereas Lungi Ngidi is another black African but he will travel as a reserve player for the team.
