The question of whether Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah will stay at the club next season or move to another club remains unanswered, but former manager Jurgen Klopp believes the Egyptian star will remain at Anfield.

Salah’s contract with Liverpool expires on June 30. The 32-year-old has not yet been officially offered a new contract by the English club, despite his long-term stay at Anfield. The in-form Egyptian forward has openly expressed his disappointment.

However, Jurgen Klopp, who will step down as Liverpool coach at the end of the 2023-24 season, believes Salah will remain at the English club. It was under his leadership that Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in June 2017. In his first season, he impressed with 44 goals in 52 matches in all competitions.

Salah is the club’s fourth-highest scorer with 241 goals in 377 matches so far. The Klopp-Salah duo has won several titles at Liverpool, including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and more.

Klopp, who was appointed global soccer chief at energy drinks company Red Bull in October, told a news conference on Tuesday that he was optimistic about Salah’s new contract at Liverpool, whom the 57-year-old considers the team’s greatest striker in modern times.
