PSG boss Luis Enrique is proud to have had a star like Kylian Mbappe in his team and understands Mbappe’s departure at the end of this season.

The all-time leading goal scorer of PSG, Kylian Mbappe announced on Friday that he will be leaving Paris after the end of the season, Real Madrid is expected to be his next destination in the upcoming season.

“I have been proud to have him in this team. He has helped us and is a leader, and he has done so with a smile on his face. I understand his decision. He has been here for seven years and is a club legend. He has given everything to this club, and this club has given him everything as well.” PSG manager Luis Enrique told the reporters on Saturday.

After spending seven years at PSG, Mbappe scored 255 goals in all competitions and won six league and 1 title for PSG, which makes him the leading goal scorer and club legend as well.

Luis Enrique is still feeling hurt for losing the Champions League semi-final against Borussia Dortmund in Parc des Princess. But he hoped that “PSG will continue to be a great team, and we’ll get even better. We will bring in players with a strong mentality and players who identify with the club.”
