Delhi Capitals captain Rishab Pant has been handed a one-match suspension for slow over-rate and fined INR 30 Lakh. Delhi Capitals were 10 minutes behind at the start of the final over against Rajasthan Royals on 7 May. That’s why suspension is imposed on DC players.

Not only the Captain but the rest of the Delhi Capitals players including the impact player have been fined 50% or INR 12 Lakh of their match fee. This is the third time that DC has made another offence this season of IPL.

So DC Captain Rishab Pant will miss the crucial match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru(RCB) in Bangalore on 12 May.

They are now in fifth position in the point table, won 6 and lost 6 matches. So DC is well alive for the playoff.

DC management filed an appeal against the ruling match referee, the BCCI Ombudsman Justice Vineet Saran reviewing the problem which occurred on May 7. After reviewing, The Ombudsman has given a virtual hearing and stated that the decision of the match referee is final and DC have to pay for the offence.
