Bangladesh secured a stunning nine-wicket victory over New Zealand in the third ODI, breaking an 18-match losing streak in New Zealand.

In a series where the hosts had already secured a win, Bangladesh’s performance in the final game was a remarkable turnaround.

The match saw Bangladesh’s seamers deliver an exceptional performance, limiting New Zealand to a mere 98 runs. Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shoriful Islam, and Soumya Sarkar each claimed three wickets, showcasing their incredible bowling prowess and restricting New Zealand to their lowest total against Bangladesh.

Despite an early setback with Sarkar retiring hurt, Bangladesh chased down the target comfortably. Anamul Haque and Najmul Hossain Shanto showcased their batting prowess, swiftly steering Bangladesh towards the victory target. Shanto’s outstanding half-century sealed the win for Bangladesh in just the 16th over.

This victory marked Bangladesh’s first ODI win against New Zealand in their backyard, ending a long-standing drought in New Zealand ODIs and providing a memorable conclusion to the series.
