Toni Kroos will retire from football after the Euro

Toni Kroos, a German and Real Madrid Midfielder, will retire from football after Euro 2024, which will be held in Germany on June 14.

The Legendary midfielder will also play his last match for Real Madrid as the team has reached the Champions League final. Real Madrid will face the German Club Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on June 2. This will be his final match for the Galacticos.

In an emotional statement on Instagram, Kroos said: “July 17th, 2014 – the day of my presentation at Real Madrid, the day that changed my life. My life as a footballer – but especially as a person.”

“It was the start of a new chapter at the biggest club in the world. After 10 years, at the end of the season, this chapter comes to an end. I will never forget that insolent successful time! I would particularly like to thank everyone who welcomed me with an open heart and trusted me.”

“My ambition was always to finish my career at the peak of my performance level.”

Kroos won 33 trophies throughout his football career, winning 5 Champions League for Real Madrid, 1 FIFA World Cup for Germany and many more and scored 67 times in 729 appearances.
