The UEFA Champions League has reached its final peak. After so many thrilling matches and individual records, the Champions League decides its final between the Spanish giants Real Madrid and German giants Borussia Dortmund at the iconic Wembley Stadium.

The Champions League final is second nature to Real Madrid as the Club won the trophy 14 titles. They are looking for another one to add to the trophy cabinet. Real Madrid has an impressive record in the UEFA Champions League as the club played the 18th final while they lost only three finals, their last defeat coming back in 1981 when Los Blancos lost against Liverpool by 1-0.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund played just three finals in their entire history. They won it once in 1997 but lost when they last played against rivals Bayern Munich at Wembley in 2013. Mats Hummels and Marco Rues both played an entire 90 minutes in that match.

The match is going to be special for both fans as Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos will be playing his last match for Los Blancos while Marco Rues and Mats Hummels will be present for Borussia Dortmund for the last time.

Both teams focus on Counter-attacking in the whole tournament. Borussia Dortmund is slightly better at counter-attacking and defensively as well. They won six clean sheets and just conceded nine goals in 12 matches this 2023-24 season in the UEFA Champions League.

Real Madrid again relies on Toni Kroos as the legend playing a key role for the team. He can build up long passes, intercept and many more. Borussia Dortmund must have to stop Toni Kroos’ passing target if they win it.

Thibaut Courtois is set to return to the starting lineup for the big game after Andriy Lunin lost his battle to recover from flu in time.

‘We’re happy to be here but we have to win at Wembley Stadium against Real Madrid, to hold that trophy in our hands.’ Edin Terzic told the reporters about tonight’s match.

Probable team:

Real Madrid: Courtois; Carvajal, Rudiger, Nacho, Mendy; Camavinga, Kroos, Valverde; Bellingham; Rodrygo, Vinicius.

Borussia Dortmund: Kobel; Ryerson, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Maatsen; Can, Sabitzer; Sancho, Brandt, Adeyemi; Fullkrug.
