Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior was named Champions League’s Player of the Season by the UEFA technical observer panel.
Real Madrid secured a record 15th Champions League title as the team defeated Borussia Dortmund by 2-0 at Wembley. Vinicius Junior was one of the main men behind Madrid’s title. He spent a golden time in the 2023-24 Champions League, scoring six goals and assisting five in 10 appearances.
The Brazilian has 22 direct goal involvements in the knockout stages of Europe’s premier club competition with 11 goals and 11 assists, the joint-most recorded by any player before turning 24, alongside Lionel Messi.
He was on the scoresheet in the Semi-final and finals as Carlo Ancelotti’s side beat German club Bayern Munich in the Semi-final and Borussia Dortmund in the final.

Vinicius’ teammate Jude Bellingham was also named the Best Young Player of the 2023-24 tournament. The English Star scored four goals and provided five assists in 11 Champions League appearances.
The goal of the 2023-2024 Champions League season also goes to Real Madrid as Federico Valverde’s late volley against Manchester City in a 3-3 quarter-final draw at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Champions League also announced its team of the season, where four Madrid Players found their names in the squad including Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Dani Carvajal and Antonio Rudiger.
