Xavi Hernandez signed off his Barcelona managerial role this week, he managed the final match of his Barcelona career on Sunday (26 May) , while his side secured victory over Sevilla by 2-1.
After winning the match Xavi sends a warning to Barca’s next Manager Hansi Flick. The 44-year-old warns a lot of challenges are waiting for him. ‘He will suffer. This is a very complicated place to be. because Barca is a difficult club and there’s an adverse financial situation too. So it won’t be easy at all,’ Xavi told DAZN.
Hansi Flick, a German manager, will arrive at Camp Nou after the ongoing season. He will take charge of Barcelona from the next season. Flick previously agreed to a two-year contract with the Catalans Club.
Hansi Flick was the manager of the Bundesliga giant Bayern Munich, winning the UEFA Champions League and two times winner of the Bundesliga. he also managed the German national team from 2021 to 2023.
Xavi admitted that the club follows the right path, ‘We didn’t win titles but we were on the right track. But football is like this, the directors will make their decisions. The response by the players was wonderful.’ Xavi said.
